How does a capacitor jumpstarter work?
The RM 1000 will charge off as little as 3V. And given that a battery is considered dead at 12V of charge, there is likely to be plenty of juice still in the battery that the RM1000 can draw off, even if that battery won’t start your car. It also only takes approx. 90 seconds to charge from a 12V source which is pretty quick!
Alternatively, you can also charge off any device that has a USB port (think Powerbanks, laptops etc). However, given the lower voltage here, it will take close to an hour to build up a charge. Really not a big issue we don’t think given the versatility this option offers
Without any requirement to keep the Rescue Mate charged up it allows the device to be stored inside your vehicle indefinitely. The Rescue Mate utilizes a unique built-in converter circuit which allows the Rescue Mate to charge up from the residual capacity in your dead battery (the one thing you can rely on having).
If you’ve got a Rescue Mate, and you’ve got a dead battery. You’ve got a jumpstarter.
With an easy to read LCD Display and just one button, it makes the device very easy to use.
Once the Rescue Mate has charged up from the flat battery, simply press the RUN button, a countdown will begin and as soon as it reaches 0 you can start your vehicle.
